Shopping at a warehouse sale is no ordinary shopping experience. It’s like a treasure hunt with gems everywhere you look! That being said, if you’re new to the world of warehouse sales, it can feel a little intimidating. But don’t fret – you’ve come to the right place. Having hosted hundreds of them ourselves, we’ve picked up some key tips along the way.
Shop warehouse sales like a pro with these tips!
1. Wear form-fitting clothes
Since we don’t have designated changing rooms, it’s a good idea to wear an outfit that you can easily try things on over. We always have plenty of mirrors around the sales floor so you can check out how items look!
2. Bring a shopping buddy
With so many items to shop, a second opinion from someone you trust is super helpful. A good shopping buddy is always honest—and it doesn’t hurt to have some friendly company while you shop.
3. Come back on multiple days
If you have the time, try to visit the sale on multiple days. We are always restocking with new items, and markdowns typically get even deeper on weekends.
4. Check out all the sections
Make sure to go through all the sections—women’s, men’s, and kids—you never know what great deal you could find!
6. Make a wish list
To avoid getting overwhelmed by the sheer amount of options to shop, go in with a list of items you’re on the hunt for. For example, if you’re attending an Adidas sale, some items on your wish list may be a pair of runners, an oversized hoodie, gym shorts, etc.
6. Come with cards—not cash
We only take credit and debit, so be sure to have your cards on hand.
7. Follow us on Instagram
The best way to stay up to date on sale news, line wait times, contests, and more is to follow us on Instagram. We’ve also been known to hide gift cards, revealing their hiding spots on our Instagram stories (shh).

If you’re a regular shopper at Aritzia, it pays to get friendly with your favourite sales associate. Not only will they help you shop in-store, but they’ll also keep their eyes peeled when you’re not there and let you know when new pieces they think you’ll love hitting the shelves.

Be sure to sign up for the online newsletter to get the inside scoop about sales and brand-new product drops. This will keep you in the loop so that you’ll never miss all of the discounts!
Book a personal stylist appointment.
With over 10 in-house brands and a bevy of others, shopping at Aritzia can be overwhelming. While the sales associates are always willing to help, why not book a personal stylist appointment? You’ll get help finding the perfect pieces — either with your favourite sales associate or another expert — and the sole focus will be on you. Plus, the service is completely free! Just make sure to call ahead to your preferred store for an appointment.
Get free shipping
You’ll get to enjoy free shipping at Aritzia if you spend $50 or more online on your new clothes if you have an account. Luckily, if you’re shopping at this brand, making a purchase over $50 shouldn’t be too difficult, otherwise, you’ll be paying to get your items to your front door.
See something you like, but can’t afford it till your next paycheque? Don’t fret!
It happens to the best of us! Luckily, Aritzia has an afterpay program that not many know about. You can make purchases now and pay for them in four payments made every two weeks. All you have to do is shop online, add items to your shopping bag, and checkout as normal. At the checkout, choose Afterpay as your payment method. Do note that all items in must be eligible for Afterpay in which a minimum purchase amount may apply.
Take advantage of Aritzia’s sophisticated inventory system.
Sometimes you’ll see something you love but the size or colour you’re looking for isn’t in your store — that doesn’t mean you’re out of luck! You can always ask a sales associate to check the inventory system to see if what you’re looking for is available at another store. If it’s available elsewhere, you can put it on hold, or even purchase it on the spot and get it transferred to your store of choice. Just ask a sales associate for details.
During sale season, shop online.
Avid Aritzia shoppers know that when the retailer hosts its sales in-store, there are no returns or exchanges on discounted products. However, if you shop online, the policy is a little more lenient, and this is one of our favourite Aritzia secrets. While you won’t be able to get a full refund when you shop sale items online, you can do in-store exchanges for online purchases within 14 days of the shipping date on new, unworn items or receive a merchandise credit on a gift card. Everyone changes their mind sometimes, so when you shop Aritzia’s sales online, there’s less risk of regret.
Get an invite to Aritzia’s private Clientele sale.
Those who are already Aritzia Clientele know that the Clientele Sale gets you access to Aritzia’s sales before the public. While how to become a clientele is mostly kept under wraps, there are a couple of things you can do to increase your chances of getting on the list. First, be sure to sign up for Aritzia’s mailing list. Next, shop Aritzia frequently! Come sale time, those two things will play in your favour.
Wait For Seasonal Sales
If you’re looking to upgrade your wardrobe at Aritiza, it’s best to wait for end-of-season sales or even Black Friday. You’ll find some of the lowest prices throughout the year during these times, which makes for an awesome shopping spree!
For big savings, shop the sale by percentage off
When you shop online, the sale section is typically divided into percentages off right off the bat. The stores tend to categorize sections into percentages off as the sale goes on. By shopping this way, you know exactly how big of a saving you’re getting. It should also be known that the discounts get deeper the longer the sale goes on. But with that being said, the best stuff always gets scooped up first, so if you see something you like at a discount you’re okay with, don’t sleep on it!

If you’re lucky enough to live in Vancouver, then you probably already know about the famous annual Aritzia Warehouse Sale. At these sale events, you can shop all of Aritzia’s in-house brands, plus the other brands Aritzia carries for 50-90%. The sale typically runs for a week and happens in August or September. Fresh items are added to the floor daily, so you’re always bound to find something you love. Just be wary of line-ups and crowds. If you’re in the Toronto area, visit Aritzia’s first and only North American outlet
Located at the Toronto Premium Outlets, Aritzia’s first North American outlet opened at the end of 2018. The store features all of the retailer’s in-house brands, like TNA, Wilfred, Babaton, Wilfred, Sunday Best, and more, and over half of the store’s inventory is discounted all throughout the year.
Click ‘Notify Me’ On Sold Out Items
If an item you were looking to buy is sold out, it doesn’t mean it’s over! On sold-out Aritizia items and sizes, there’s an option to be notified when the item is restocked (if that item is going to be restocked). You’re going to want to click that to ensure you’re ahead of the game once it comes back!
Read The Reviews
Although it doesn’t sound like much of a secret, reading customer reviews is often overlooked! And on Aritzia’s website, it can be easy to miss. Before you splurge on your next Aritzia item, be sure to read the reviews to ensure you’re making an informed purchasing decision! You can get tips about what size to buy, how it wears, etc.
You Can Ask For A Room With A Mirror
Let’s be real – no one likes being forced to leave their private change room to look in the mirror at what they’re trying on – and Aritzia has a bad rep for not having mirrors in its fitting rooms. Simply ask an employee for a room with a mirror in it; there’s usually at least one!
